COASTEERING

At IWSK we love all types of outdoor sports, Coasteering is one of our favorites though; Jumping over rock archways, swimming through wave filled gaps, climbing up cliffs and ducking under water into invisible caves are just a few of the experiences to be had. Our Coasteering adventures are run by qualified outdoor professionals who have a vast experience of the coastal environment and we are licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service.

Coasteering starts from our base in Freshwater Bay with getting kitted up in wet suits, helmets and buoyancy aids and a safety briefing, then a quick walk over the road to the beach, from there its out under the cliffs and the adventure begins.

Once back at base you can relax in the garden with a drink from the bar or cafe chatting over who did the biggest jumps, who went deepest into the caves, who got hit by the biggest wave or any number of other things that may happen in this most dynamic of environments!

It is worth remembering, before you decide that it may not be for you, that there is always a route choice - and you won't be pressured into doing anything you don't want to - in fact the only things you don't have a choice over are that you will get wet and that it will be Fun!

So what happens if it is to rough and to dangerous to go Coasteering on the day we have booked? Occasionally the ocean swell is simply to big to go coasteering - not often, but it does happen - below are some pictures of the alternative: if coasteering is out, the surf will be up!
