IWSK run the new BCU award - PaddleSport Start - the aim of the course is to introduce those with no or little experience of paddlesport to a wide range of craft in a fun and relaxed way; giving participants the skills and knowledge to make informed choices as to there chosen route within the sport.

Sea Kayaks, Surf/Whitewater Kayaks, Open Canoes and Sit-on-Top's will all be used throughout the day, along with explanations of the equipment used and how to progress within the sport. You will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced coach and use top quality equipment in a picturesque environment. The Island is a top quality location, and IWSK are the ideal choice to guide your entry into this sport due to our wide range of knowledge that is unequalled in the South.

We run these courses on the fourth saturday of every month during the summer time, so warm(ish) water, sun bathing(hopefully) and ice-cream in a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to do anything you don't want to.

The course is suitable for anyone over the age of 15 - We also run the PaddlePower Start award suitable for under fifteens; if you are a family however, and would all like to do the course together, we can usually arrange a private course on a date to suit you.
